Wednesday, May 17, 2017 6:00:00 PM CDT
Webinar objective: Explore digital resources and strategies for engaging students with media about weather and climate concepts across grade spans.
What does effective media allow you and students to do, see, or explore? How can we use media to convey key weather and climate concepts and enhance curriculum?
Jake Foster, Ph.D. will lead this interactive session. He will be joined by Timothy Cronin, Ph.D. and Megan Jacobs, classroom teacher as we explore strategies for engaging students with media in consideration of key science practices.
Completing a post-webinar reflection activity on media use in your instruction is available. An acknowledgment of participation for two hours is available upon viewing the one-hour webinar and completing the activity. Details of the reflection activity will be discussed on the webinar.
We will be recording this webinar and the on-demand recording link will be sent out shortly after the live stream.
