While students today may think of the Civil Rights movement as part of the distant past, it’s clear that many of the problems that fueled that fight are still with us. Please join us for a presentation and conversation on teaching the history of civil rights and its relevance to today's events and social justice issues. Deborah Menkart, Executive Director of Teaching for Change will moderate and two high school educators will focus on specific parts of the Movement and showcase their classroom work and the resources they draw on.
